Texas Lost & Found: Lovies Recovered from the Floods
In the aftermath of the Texas floods, volunteers have recovered dozens of stuffed animals and comfort items from the Guadalupe River and Sandy Creek. Each one has been gently cleaned and photographed in hopes of reuniting it with the child who’s missing it most.
Below, you’ll find a gallery of these rescued lovies. All Sandy Creek lovies are being recovered, cleaned, and inventoried thanks to the incredible efforts of and partnership with Erika McLemore. If you recognize a lovie from Sandy Creek, please email ashley@landoflovies.org or Erika: eamclemore+stuffies@gmail.com to claim the lovie and any details you can share to help us confirm the match.
All other lovies are linked back to their original social media post to make it easy for the family to reconnect with who has their lovie.
Please tag us @landoflovies or email us if you have recovered a lost lovie and would like it added to the gallery. We know it may seem like a small thing, but to a child, it’s everything.
